Ling wanted to be a lawyer. At first, she did not realize how hard a task that would be for a first generation immigrant, but she just kept working at it until she was licensed. She pushed herself to be the best lawyer she could be, working long hours in the office and long hours at home, often pacing around living room lost in thought, in order to find a better solution for that special case for her client.
